# Has the plugin stopped working?

 * Until last week, the plugin was working perfectly. I just noticed that the thumbnails
   are no longer being converted to WebP. I believe this may have happened after
   the latest WordPress update.
 * Will there be a new update to the plugin? It’s a really great plugin, and congratulations
   to the developer for creating it. You’re a good person for making such a useful
   tool.

 * I found the issue. Only the **.png images** are not converting the thumbnails
   correctly; they end up as **.pnj**.
 * And for **.jpg** images to work perfectly, the option **“Append the generated
   images extension (webp,avif) to the original filename”** needs to be enabled.
