# Has the free version changed?

 * Hello,
 * I’ve been using the free version for a while now, but had to uninstall it. Now
   I installed Free Version 3.8.7 and notice that some things are not the same as
   before.
 * The WP header is no longer colored orange.
 * It is no longer possible to select directories that should not be included in
   the staging page.
 * Previously, the staging page could only be accessed as an admin with a password.
 * Links within the staging page go to the original page and not to the pages in
   the directory in which the staging page is located.
 * Is that really correct?

 * We constantly update the plugin to introduce new features, but the features you
   have mentioned are working as intended. Feel free to check the [change logs](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/#developers).
    1. The header should be orange if WP Staging is active on the staging site.
    2. You can still [select directories](https://wp-staging.com/docs/create-a-staging-site-clone-wordpress/#Create_a_Staging_Site_in_a_Subfolder)
       and databases—please share a screenshot if there’s an issue.
    3. Only admins can access the staging site; confirm if WP Staging is active on 
       the staging site.
    4. [Activate permalinks](https://wp-staging.com/docs/activate-permalinks-staging-site/)
       on the staging site to fix redirection.

 * I recently reinstalled the plugin – everything works as it should! No idea why
   I had problems back then.
