  • Hi Jim,

    Sorry for the delay.

Keyy has not been hacked and also it’s not going out of business.

The above error is a Java error which means there is an issue with the Android app.

A quick Google search suggests it’s an issue with the new Android version.

Our Android developer is currently working on resolving issues with the new OS and the Keyy app, I can see you’ve opened a support request via the app so I’ll pass that one on to the Android developer so he can help you out.

In the meantime if your locked out of your site you can disable Keyy in one of the following ways:

    1) Login via FTP and remove the Keyy plugin
    2) Add the following define to your wp-config.php file define(‘KEYY_DISABLE’, true);

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

I’ve had Pie on my Pixel 2 XL for over a month and no updates to the phone OS have recently occurred. I also have used Keyy every 2 or 3 days and have had no issues. However, I now see an update to Keyy was applied 2 (as of now) days ago. Pretty sure what did or didn’t happen here. So, my only option is to uninstall the product? My renewal is coming up and this will certainly be a factor.

    Hi there @ jimbotechsys

I have sent you a hotfix to this issue. Its possible that it does work intermittently for a few hours before giving you that error. As you can see it reported here

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51770323/how-to-solve-android-p-downloadmanager-stopping-with-cleartext-http-traffic-to

    https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/114143692
    https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/113533479

Also you can see from here that Google have turned off cleartext support by default starting Android 9

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/45940861/android-8-cleartext-http-traffic-not-permitted

So any sites using SSL(https) will not have a problem, but ones without may not work with Keyy till this patch is applied.

That said, please use the hotfix I sent you via email and let me know if you have any issues. I will be making a release shortly so its publicly available as well

We have a strict company policy that does not allow non-Play apps so I cannot install the hotfix. How long will it take to get it online?
