this looks like an amazing plugin, just wondering if anyone has used it with woocommerce and will it pull in the product if someone wants to tweet it for example?
I’ve not used woocommerce before, but I presume it utilises the WordPress post functionality to create the individual product pages. This would therefore mean that this plugin would use the
is_single()hook and display the share buttons accordingly.
I could be wrong but I’m fairly confident that it will work for you. If it doesn’t just let me know I’ll take a look at it for you and see what can be done!
Have a try, if you don’t like it or decide against it, the uninstall script will delete all traces for you, from the database and files 🙂
Hope you like it!
thanks for fast reply, it works wonderfully, but does have a minor layout issue, when i set buttons to either left or right or even centre the layout breaks into two lines, font size is 14, image size 20 px, so i am not sure if it is conflicting with woo css or maybe even gdstar rating above it,
a link to a product
Great to see it’s showing up!
Strange, it’s definitely CSS related, I’ve not managed to figure out which attribute is causing it though!
It’s almost like it’s being forced into a small div, but the HTML shown on the page doesn’t reflect that!
A couple of options that you seem to have are:
- Remove the share text
- Place the share text above or below the share buttons
Both options make the share buttons take up a little less width and seem to resolve the problem. Not ideal though, I’ll try and figure it out for you!
just spotted a minor issue, it is showing up on front page, but it is set not to show on front page lol
Hmm, I wonder why that is.
Woocommerce must be pulling a post through without officially letting the WordPress code know that it’s being displayed on the homepage.
One thing you could do, if you wish to hide it from this page, is write the following shortcode within the theme’s template for the some of the text on the homepage –
Note that this will hide all share buttons on the page it’s written, so it will need to be on the homepage only that this is used.
yes that worked thanks
by the way you are the best customer service i have seen so far on wordpress plugins and I strongly believe customer service makes a plugin 🙂
No problems at all, glad to hear it’s sorted for you 🙂
Thanks very much 🙂
P.S. I’d be really grateful if you have a moment to rate the plugin, if there’s anything you’d like to see done before it’s worthy of 5 stars just let me know and I’ll see what I can do!
obviously other than the minor clitches to be fixed the only feature i would like to see added is to allow the CSS and png images to served from cloudfront
5 stars given 🙂
Awesome thanks very much for the rating! 🙂
This is the first I’ve heard of cloudfront to be honest!
I’ve had a quick skim over what it’s about, hosting the CSS on it would mean quite a few changes, but the images can be done already pretty easily:
If you upload the images to cloudfront (presuming I’ve understood what the purpose of it is!) and select ‘Custom’ from the image set drop down, you can paste in the URLs of each of the images there!
cool, that would work
yes it speeds up website no end, all we need now is a better spec server lol
I’ll get a dedicated server myself one day!
i think you will be a millionaire soon
we are starting a new toddler and baby clothing site soon 🙂 maybe we can send you a little something for your daughter ? as a thank you
just a thought, the hide shortcode does hide the images etc from view, but they still load in a hidden form, thus they will have an effect on the speed of load for front page
