I need to reflect the website menu created in Joomla in the wordpress blog which is linked to the website. It has been decided to use wordpress for the blog. I am facing challenge in bringing the website menu (created in Joomla) to the new wordpress blog.

  • Example of what you mean please as I don’t use Joomla much and want to see what you are talking about.

Do you still need help with this? I have exactly what you are looking for running on my joomla site (a sub domain with wordpress and the joomla main menu in the wordpress sidebar).

Hi fumanstu I also need this ability and has not found any solution yet.

    Any help is welcome….

    Hi Seth,
I have a wordpress widget that will do this for you, actually I have two, one that goes direct to your joomla database and one that does it through a http request (slower).
I built them for myself so I’ll have to clean them up a bit for you. I’ll put a link up here in a couple of days when I have the widgets polished a bit. You can see it working on http://www.blog.neonengine.com

Clicky here for the menuGrabber widget, it should be fairly straight forward, just drop it into your wordpress plugins folder, activate the plugin and put the widget into your sidebar. It does not do multi-level menu’s at the moment, because I didn’t need one. But I’ll do a new version with three levels when I get a minute.
