    Just installed it and it found nothing. Tried a post searched with “static1.squarespace.com” and nothing on the sidebar. For some reason the links are crazy from square space, here are some examples:

    Hmm that’s weird, it should work with most of those (the ones with .jpg endings at least) not sure what is going on with the ones with no extension though. When I checked just now it worked with 5 of those images above so it must be something related to your hosting setup.

    It is interesting that if you take the title off it will render. Eg

    I am having a real problem with the script timing out with even a single post

    It could be an issue with curl and your web host, I did a bunch here without any problems and I think I’ve seen other people use it for thousands of images without any problems like that.

    Yeah I am getting killed on CPU and Memory

    Changed from php 5.4 to 5.6 and the process ran fine. What I eneded up doing is searching for “static1.squarespace.com” then opening the link to the end number and using “save as” to see the file type. Changed the links to just the numbers with the file type added and ran Import Images.

    Thanks again!

    Woot awesome! Good to hear it worked out 🙂

    I was also battling the “?format=original” problem… but I’ve found a work around.

    Use a text editor on your XML file that you’re importing and replace all

    “/?format=original” with /img.jpg?format=original”

    This tricks the external image importer into thinking it has a file name and successfully imports the file.

    Hope this helps someone 😀

    To follow up on my previous post. Adding img.jpg?format=original helped my issues with importing from squarespace… but didn’t solve it.

    My imports work, but only with the 1000px default image size from squarespace. I want to import the ORIGINAL file size from squarespace. It seems like the ?format=original tag at the end of the URL is ignored by the plugin and only the img.jpg portion is imported (which links to the 1000px image and not the full resolution version.)

    I’ve been monkeying around with the code to the plugin but have not had any success… if anyone has a solution to this i’d love to know!!

    Does anyone have a fix for this? I’m stuck! I have to move a huge site with loads of pictures to WordPress and none of the plugins are working. 🙁

    I just replaced

    curl_grab_image($file, $tmp);

    with

    curl_grab_image($file . “?format=original”, $tmp);

    in the modified squarespace version downloaded from http://www.moeloubani.com/downloads/import-external-images-sqspc.zip and I got the original attachments downloaded/imported and saved in my Media Library.

    And remember to use the Search Replace plugin to replace /?format=original with /img.jpg?format=original _AND_ https://static with http://static because the Squarespace version of the plugin doesn’t support SSL at the moment.

    @moeloubani1 Just used your plugin to import over 1,100 images from a Squarespace site, and it worked like a dream! Thanks for sharing your version of this plugin. You’ve saved me countless hours of work.

    I cannot seem to get this to work. All of the images fro my site end in format=1000w
    When I run the plugin i get “We didn’t find any external images to import. You’re all set!”

    Help! This is an example of the images: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/585ac17dd2b8571a0a8d4478/t/5915d80029687fc18f205f86/1494603797704/?format=1000w
