Hard time adding a date image to the left of the post title

Hello.
I’m trying to add a div with the date at the left of the post title, but I’m having some sort of trouble with it.

I’m using Silhouette theme created by Brian Gardner, and my CSS knowledge is still a tiny bit poor.

If someone is willing to help me, there’s the theme.
