What does this plugin strip the hard returns out of the feeds? I have never understood that, and it actually causes me a good deal of trouble, because anytime I do a hard return on a post, I have to add a trailing space so that the sentences are not bunched up.

Could you add an option to retain the hard returns for wp rss multi importer?

An example would be this rss feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/EvolutionRTSGoogleplus

When displayed on this page: http://it-magique.com/wip/springrts.com/

    Instead of looking like:

Once again, +Evolution RTS Sunday is back! Come to the +Evolution RTS gaming get-together! This is…

Once again, +Evolution RTS Sunday is back!

Come to the +Evolution RTS gaming get-together!

This is a weekly event that takes place at 10AM PST (12PM CST and 5PM GMT).

Another thing to note along the same lines is, why can’t I choose “Give me everything” and also have image processing? It’s rather annoying that that option isn’t available. :-/

The hard return issue is easy. The give me everything and retain image processing is more difficult. I’ll add the hard return fix tomorrow in the update.

Dude, that is freaking awesome! Thanks so much! πŸ˜€

also, it looks like you’re using breaks instead of paragraph marks to make paragraphs…if you did this you wouldn’t run into this problem.

Well, unfortunately, I don’t really have a choice. I suppose it would be accurate for me to say “Blame google” πŸ™‚ although, not really.

See this feed gets pulled from G+ then put into feedburner, and that’s the output.

Fwiw, feeds from phpbb do the same thing.

I noticed that there was an update today (v 2.66.7), so I updated but it didn’t seem to have the fix in it.

It isn’t a big deal, just wanted to mention it in case that version is supposed to have the fix and for some reason something is going screwy πŸ™‚

Thanks a ton for everything!!! πŸ˜€

are you using the shortcode or feed to post?

    Thread Starter forboding-angel

    (@forboding-angel)

    I’m using the shortcode

    Plugin Author Allen

    (@amweiss98)

ok..that’s the issue. Download this and replace what’s on the server with this file

    Unfortunately, no change :-/

I made sure to double check and turn feed caching off, and clear the site caching as well.

    Plugin Author Allen

    (@amweiss98)

try downloading it again and use that version

    (@forboding-angel)

    That works beautifully πŸ˜€

Ran a diff so I could see what was going on. I see what you did there πŸ™‚ Only other thing I can think of to whine about atm, is that the date and source portions at the bottom should have a hard return above them so that the content doesn’t run so closely.

Hard to explain so I’ll just copy pasta:

Once again, +Evolution RTS Sunday is back!

Come to the +Evolution RTS gaming get-together!

This is a weekly event that […]

Imo, right above the date should have a blank space above it.

Granted, I can do that with css and margins if I need to, so it’s not a big deal.

    Plugin Author Allen

    (@amweiss98)

what you are seeing is what is in the rss feed….the file now allows breaks, image, anchors…if this is not what you want, then change the spacing using css in the template.css file

    (@forboding-angel)

Gotcha. Thanks so much for everything. This has totally made my day πŸ˜€

    Plugin Author Allen

    (@amweiss98)

also, I just made it so that this will be an option in the shortcode admin…do you want to try that instead of the hard coded version I have you?

    Thread Starter forboding-angel

    (@forboding-angel)

Sure, sounds like a plan to me πŸ˜€
