• This move was a big deal as I’d been using the same caching plugin for 6 years, however the more I read about the LiteSpeed plugin and it being tailor-made for LiteSpeed servers, which my sites are hosted on, the more I was convinced to make the switch. On testing I was initially confused as the response headers weren’t showing any caching (x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache), however I then realised that was because I was logged in, and logged in users were set not to be cached. Once I logged out and checked again I could see the page being delivered by the cache: x-litespeed-cache-control: hit. There are a lot of settings to play with, the plugin is in active development and has active support both here in the forum and over on their website forum. All in, I’m delighted with the transition, the functionality. and of course the performance as measure by wepagetest.org and tools.pingdom.com. Thanks LiteSpeed team!
