HandlerSocket

Anyone experimenting with the HandlerSocket NoSQL solution yet as opposed to memcached? I’m wondering what people’s experiences may be and if anyone is writing a plugin. I’m getting ready to move my MySQL server to Perconia Server because it can do more threads per MySQL instance and they have already put HandlerSocket into their distribution. The idea of being able to talk to InnoDB directly is certainly appealing.
