Support » Fixing WordPress » Hamburger Menu and Search icons not working

  • Hi I’m pretty new to WP and helping resolve some issues with this site.

I’ve tried to understand how the mobile menu works but after reading many forums and trying all the suggested solutions, I’m still unable to get it working and not sure if I need to add some java code?

Not sure when it was last working as this site suffered a spam attack in 2016 which caused some issues, however, they just resolved that at the time rather than do a full health check.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • See here for your list of many errors :

You are missing javascript files that the theme is looking for.
And also, you have Mixed Content errors – meaning some of your content is being delivered securely over https:// while other content is “insecure” so being delivered over http://

re: the javascript errors, they are coming from WordPress core, so my initial impression is that your version of WordPress is out of date.

I suggest you to open the Web Browser’s console, because your site has several issues regarding loading mixed content and jquery errors that prevents the hamburger menu to open

Hi and thanks again. I’m using the current version of WordPress. As far as the Javascript errors, is there a way for me to interpret those errors easily so as I know which files are missing?

You can just use the Inspector tools provided in Chrome, and they show you the path of the files that are missing, or throwing errors – see here :

It might be a plugin/theme conflict
