[Resolved] Half post disappeared when post update failed

  • I spent 2 hours making a long post. I published and have gone back a few times to do corrections. This time I was trying to make a couple of letters bold. Not sure if I got to press “Update” or not but the page failed to reload. When I re-opened WordPress, the post is now only 300 words long and finishes with %0

Is there any way to get back this complete post? (sigh)

  • if it’s 300 on the website, there’s an exceprt limit set up. if it’s 300 when you edit the post hopefully there’s a more button on there. if not click on text and see if its there.

    otherwise i think it’s lost.

i guess you could try clearing your cookies/cache, i doubt it’ll work but it might

Thanks, posthawk. Both the website and the editing screen showed it as lost but 15 minutes later it showed up again. I’m confused but relieved. 🙂
