Support » Everything else WordPress » Had issues while registering support account

  • (Hope this is where to post this?) I had a heck a hard time registering for a Support Account a day or 2 ago. I did create an account then received a so-called “Link” to set my password. Guess what, I clicked the Link and it just brought me to the “Login” screen. The “Confirmation Email” didn’t even give me a default Password or anything. I then had to “Forget Password” and of course it took awhile to get the Link to actually reset my password, which I did. Unfortunately there was something I needed to ask, but do you think I could remember?

Why did I have so much hard time just to set up a Support Account, especially because the URL that was supposed to allow me to set a password just sent me to the Login page. Anyway I just hope that’s just an isolated incident and not some bug. Anyone able to shed some light on this issue? (Also before I’d make a fool of myself I did double-check my Email in case I missed the password). A. I hope somebody can explain what happened, and B. I hope if it is a bug or glitch or something, it can be fixed soon.

What do you mean by support account? You successfully registered this account in the forums.

The links are one-time use links. After the link has been loaded, any subsequent uses of that same link will bring you to the login screen.

So, something clicked that link before you did, or you double-clicked it, or something like that. It happens.
