Hacking colorbox plugin to show whole webpage?

I currently use a javascript pop to expand images.

Click the images on the back of the calendar to see in action.

I was wondering if there is a way to hack up a colorbox plugin, like so: http://www.techotronic.de/index.php/plugins/jquery-colorbox/

to get it to display a page in the colorbox, or at least a large image with customized text really.

Thoughts?
