 * Hi,
 * I have been advised by Google that there is a hacker on my website. Ive looked
   at the Web Console and someone has managed to create themselves as an owner and
   verified it. How do I ind the public_html directory to remove the html they have
   added along with various other URLs?!
 * Why do people do this!!!!

 * Remain calm and carefully follow [this guide](https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked).
 * When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of [the recommended security measures](https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress).
