hacker text persists in blog site title

    After chasing the hackers out, I have a persistent problem – the blog site title still shows “hacked by …” . Front page and posts are unaffected.
    I have checked the settings/general page – all correct.
    I have trawled through the database for this site – no sign.
    I have stripped the site and reloaded. No change.
    Frankly, perlexed….
    Of all the sites ruined by these animals this is the one site (most recently recovered) where this problem has occurred.
    Would really appreciate some help

    Yes, that is the correct title info. Problem I have is that I get a residual text being a remnant of the hacker in the info associated with the website updater I am using. It now seems the problem is particular to the website updater, and since posting, I discover my ISP has blocked the website updater. I am now sure that is where the problem lays. ie. the website updater cannot refresh and correct.
