  • I did a Fetch as Google for and have found a stack of car insurance code at the very end, immediately after the StatCounter.

    I’m sorry that this may be a very basic question, but how do I access this in order to delete it? I cannot find Statcounter in the WordPress editor. I have also looked in the templates in the right-hand sidebar but nothing shows up. Am I looking in the wrong place?

    There’s this at the end:

    [ Moderator note: please use backticks or the code button next time. ]

    <script type="text/javascript"
    class="statcounter"><a title="stats for wordpress"
    target="_blank"><img class="statcounter"
    alt="stats for wordpress" ></div></noscript>
    <!-- End of StatCounter Code --> <a href="">1</a> <a href="">2</a> <a href="">3</a> <a href="">4</a> <a href="">5</a> <a href="">6</a> <a href="">7</a> <a href="">8</a> <a href="">9</a> <a href="">10</a> <a href="">11</a> <a href="">12</a> <a href="">13</a> <a href="">14</a> <a href="">15</a> <a href="">16</a> <a href="">17</a> <a href="">18</a> <a href="">19</a> <a href="">20</a>

    BUT THEN there’s a load of this (a sample here):

    <a href="">classic car insurance heacock</a> <a href="">car with lowest insurance</a> <a href="">recommended car insurance coverage amounts</a> etc, etc.

    I’d be grateful if someone could let me know how to get to this code in WordPress and crush, kill destroy it for good. Will deleting it be enough to prevent hacking by this same source? Thank you.
