# Hacked Header

 * Hello,
 * I haven’t used my site for a while but I started to revive it today, however,
   I just noticed that there was a text link to a porn site in my header. Luckily
   once I unchecked the display tagline in Customise, it disappeared from the main
   site and the source code. The weird thing is that I couldn’t find it anywhere
   in the tagline on my settings so I am trying to figure out how to delete it for
   good.

 * I am sorry to hear your site is damaged. Do you or your hosting company have 
   a full backup of your site? The fastest and most sure way to repair your site
   is to restore from a backup made before the hack.
 * Without a backup your only solution is to repair the site. Follow [this guide](https://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked).
 * When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of [the recommended security measures](https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress).

 * hmm, that’s weird, I checked the box again and it seems that it is gone for good,
   for now at least.
 * I’ll keep an eye out though
