Support » Fixing WordPress » Hacked. Can't Find wp-admin.php File
4 years, 2 months ago
My website was hacked, and part of the instructions on this page involves changing the keys in the wp-admin.php file.
I don’t see that file when I log into the admin panel for this site.
Where are they keys located then, being that I don’t have (or see) this file?

There is no wp-admin.php file, you have to update wp-config.php instead.
As that link explains, please have a backup just in case.
wp-config.php is what I meant to say. I don’t see one.
The wp-config.php file can be in the root of your WordPress installation or it can be one directory level below that so look there too.
