Hacked by Crackers_child please help

    My sites host server got hacked by some idiots calling themselves Crackers_child. They went onto the server and over-wrote every file starting with index. Now I cannot log into any blogs because I get a message Hacked by Crackers_child. Any ideas what I can do?

    Basically just delete all your wordpress files (backup things like plugins, themes, smilies etc) and then re-upload all the wordpress files onto your server. this will not delet any posts, comments or pages as these are all stored on your database.

    In order to stop this happening again you need to change the file permissions on your files to something that other people (apart from wordpress) can’t write to. I a no expert on this; prehaps someone else can recommend a file permission.

    i have question for you dodi22, what wordpress version you’re using before you got your site hacked ?

    EDIT : it seems that you’re using wordpress 2.0.2

    Hi Kind people, thank you for taking the time to help me. I have resolved the issue at last.

    I was using WP2.0.2 and have upgraded to 2.0.3 because my host server, BlueVoda hasn’t got around to offering 2.0.04. I was waiting for it as I didn’t want to upgrade twice but it looks like I will have to.

    2.0.3 is no more secure than 2.0.2
