So my website at http://www.bitterrootcove.org was hacked. Whenever I tried to access the site all I got was an image of a Turkish flag that was hyperlinked to a larger version on Imageshack.

Not being real swift with php or css (hell, I can barely get WP deployed), I poked around a little to see if I could find what was wrong. No go. So I figured I’d just upgrade to WP 2.3.3 and overwrite everything. Well, that didn’t work either.

So I’m at a loss as to what to do and need some help. You can see what the website is doing at http://www.bitterrootcove.org/wp-config. I’ve put a temp index.html file in the root to hopefully prevent anything from happening.

My mySQL database appears to be ok, based on what I saw using my hosting services mySQL control panel. I only have a few posts in the database so it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I had to blow that away as well, but I’d prefer not to.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thx

Normally, your web host should make a backup daily, weekly and monthly : eveyday, every week and every month…

You can backup your site, as is, like it appears now, for future reference, and ask your host to restore the daily backup of your account. You should then find your site like it was yesterday.

Then, change all your passwords, on your account on WP and in the database… And check all the files permission of your site.

    Good luck.
