So I inherited a website and just migrated it to the new host. After we got it up & running I went to test it on Firefox and noticed a rotating ad banner at the bottom below the footer.

    http://www.patelburkhalter.com

I have search the server for specific references in the rendered code including iframe, etc. but I cannot find where this may have been hacked.

Any ideas where I should look?

Remain calm and carefully follow this guide. When you're done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

Also, upgrade to WordPress 3.9.2. At 3.5.1, your site has several publicly known security vulnerabilities.

Thanks James. If the site is using a custom theme, how many hours would you expect an upgrade to 3.9.2 to take? Just curious.

A few minutes, maybe less than a minute. :)

There's no reason for a theme compatible with WordPress 3.5.x to be incompatible with 3.9.x.
