Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » h2 font-size:inherit in product title wrong size

  • Hello,

    maybe you can also help me with this topic.

    On the shop page ( the product title normally is defined with class h2 font-size (in my case 39px) but woocommerce-product-loop_title uses “font-size:inherit” and it’s displayed very small, like a normal text.

    Why does it not inherit from the class h2, even though it’s defined like this?

    I know it’s just a small problem but just for learning I need to understand what happens.

    Thanks in advance for your help!

    > Inherits this property from its parent element

    It does not inherit from your h2 styles, it inherits from the parent element, in this case the LI.

    Thanks Mike Jolley.

    How can I change it that it inherits from h2 styles?

    You can add a rule to set the size to a px value or remove the rule completely.

    How can I remove the rule completely?

    The inherit is coming from a theme style sheet, so you could find and remove it from there. That’s probably not a good idea in this case though, because any changes will be overwritten by theme updates.

    Instead, try this custom css:

    .woocommerce-loop-product__title {
      font-size: 22px;

    Custom css can be entered at:
    Dashboard > Appearance > Customise > Additional CSS
    where it should load last and so take precedence over the theme style sheet.
