Support » Theme: Mission News » H1 Title on top of featured image

    Hey there.

First, I have to say I have been using Mission News theme for a while and it is great. My only issue is; is there a way through which I can have the H1 header above the featured image? Currently, it appears below the featured image as you can see in the link. The result is that if I immediately put in an H2 subheading, things look kind of clattered on the screen

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks for using Mission News!

I’ve put together a “child theme” for you that will move the titles above the Featured Images on the post pages. You can upload and activate the file theme through the Appearance menu in your dashboard.

    Download Mission News Child theme

When you activate the child theme, you may need to reselect your primary menu or reassign widgets to the widget areas. None of the menus or widgets are lost – the child theme just has these settings saved separately from the Mission News theme.

Thanks Ben. That more or less did the trick. Great thing is I also get to have a child theme, which I had been putting off for some time. Now, is there a way that I can extend the trick to pages as well? Here is an example of an example page on my site.

Totally, here’s a new version that will move the title on pages too:

    Download child theme

You can either delete your existing child theme and upload this one instead, or use FTP to upload the “content-page.php” file into your child theme. You’ll find the child theme in this location on your server:

Thanks a lot. Managed to upload the required file via ftp. Will get back to you should in need any more help
