GZIP not working

    I have set up w3 total cache everything is working as it should do, however which run test in google page speed insight and a gtmetrix.com both say I need to have enable gzip compression.

    I have Enable HTTP (gzip) compression tick on in browser cache setting. I have also checked with my host 1&1 and they confirm gzip enable and also check myself with /phpinfo.php

    Any idea why this is not working?

    If the htaccess rules aren’t working then your best shot would be to set it up via your cpanel. Most hosts in cpanel have a tab called “optimize website” set it to all content and it will be gzipped.

    I have looked more into this and run tests on other sites with the same settings on same host, and I have now ruled it down to a plugin crash, if I found out what it is I post an update
