Support » Plugin: WP Fastest Cache » Gzip enabled crashes the site – 500 server error

  • Hi there!

    When enabling the Gzip feature in the free version of the plugin, my site crashes. I have narrowed down the issue to the .htaccess file, but there my knowledge is limited. The lines erroring are the following:

    # BEGIN GzipWpFastestCache
    <IfModule mod_deflate.c>
    AddType x-font/woff .woff
    AddType x-font/ttf .ttf
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE image/svg+xml
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/plain
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/xml
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/css
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/javascript
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/xml
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/xhtml+xml
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/rss+xml
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/javascript
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-javascript
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-font-ttf
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE x-font/ttf
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/vnd.ms-fontobject
    AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE font/opentype font/ttf font/eot font/otf
    </IfModule>
    # END GzipWpFastestCache

    I’d really love to fully utilize the plugin. I am running on Apache 2.4 and WP Fastest Cache version 0.9.0.1. The website is massagetorslanda.se

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    You can disable the gzip rule. There is nothing to do on our side. you need to contact your hosting provider.
