Hi team! Is this the right place to ask/bug report? I just updated the plugin Gutenberg to ver. 23.3.0 on my website (self-host: corianderinpho.com) and it seems like it conflicted with Yoast ver. 27.7 (latest update was 7 days ago).

    Steps to replicate:

    1. Activate plugin Gutenberg, update the plugin to ver. 23.3.0
    2. Activate plugin Yoast, make sure the plugin Yoast is on ver. 27.7
    3. Note the following warnings/situations:
      • On the post/page editor, the warning The "yoast-seo" plugin has encountered an error and cannot be rendered. appears.
      • Yoast-related pages on WP Admin display blank pages.

I have limited tech knowledge, so I only use DevTools to check for error code. This is the one that appears:

When I deactivated the plugin Gutenberg, Yoast works as expected.

    Further details:

    • WordPress: WordPress 7.0
    • Gutenberg: 23.3.0
    • Yoast: 27.7
    • Browser: Vivaldi ver. 8.0.4033.35 (Official Build) (arm64)

    Thanks!

  • Yap, same thing happened to me as soon as I updated to the latest Gutenberg version.

I had to deactivate the Gutenberg plugin for Yoast to work normally.

I can’t wait for Gutenberg to work properly with WordPress 7.0 and other plugins (Yoast or whatever), and even with popular themes.
Many of us want or need to update, but without fear of breaking anything. Let’s wait and see. Many thanks in advance to the WordPress teams for seeing what can be done fairly quickly, without causing any collateral damage. [praying hands emoji]

    Hey folks!

The issue should now be resolved in Gutenberg v23.3.2.

Can you please retest on your end and let us know? Thanks!

    Hi @tyxla

It seems to work well! Thanks a lot.

    (I should’ve done this but I forgot)

Marking this thread as *resolved*. Thanks again, Marin!
