Support » Fixing WordPress » Gutenberg Editor – Page Parent Option Missing On Fresh Install

  • Resolved Ryan Paul

Fresh install of WordPress with no javascript errors in the console and no json errors in the network tab…

I can’t choose the page parent in Gutenberg Editor.

I’ve searched the forum. Nothing has helped. I don’t want to be told to use the Classic Editor if I’m going to be forced to use Gutenberg one day.

    Someone help? Please?

I see the parent page option in the “document” settings area (page attributes) on the right side column.
Click on the “GEAR” icon on the top.

If you have selected parent and updated page and it is still not working, please try:
install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme
might help narrow down the source of the issue

I don’t. This is a fresh install of WordPress.

    Oh ffs.

None. I was expecting it to show up like the Classic Editor. Thanks for helping me troubleshoot.
