Support » Plugin: Gutenberg » Gutenberg is, for now at least, a step backwards

  • Forgive me if I am wrong, but I have honestly tried Gutenberg as a user. I have several websites online, I think I am not too stupid to use the possibilities that WordPress and its plugins extensively. Using Gutenberg I find that, instead of beiing able to do more, I can do less than with the classic editor. I cannot use my Google Photos, I am forced to upload images to my site thus eating away from my alotted space with my web host, I cannot determine the layout of my page or post as for images, as, if I want to show a number of images on a row, I cannot do this and am presented with the gallery that Gutenberg deems right. All in all, I think I will have to continue using the classic editor, but I sincerely hope that Gutenberg will soon restore the possibilities I used to have with the classic editor. I am not at all opposed to changes, but they should improve things and not first limit the user enormously. Also, I hope that all my existing plugins, especially Photo Express for Google, will work again with Gutenberg.
