Could it be that most of the negative reviews of gutenberg are written by disgruntled developers. because it makes it easier for amateurs to design their own sites? Me being one of them…i’m part of the minority who thinks the new editor has given me (and thers with limited coding knowledge)e me a huger range of cutomization options we didn’t have before

  • Hi, I’m glad the new editor is working well for you!

Personally, I don’t think that most developers are scared of it taking away their business. I think it actually opens up a lot of new market opportunities for them to pursue.

I think for the most part, people just don’t like change, especially when they’re busy running a business, etc. Making the shift from developing PHP to modern JavaScript does has a pretty big learning curve, and that can be hard to make time for, and unfortunately it’s not as easy to get into as PHP is.

@sacdawg thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s great to hear that you like the direction despite the learning curve required to be able to use new capabilities!
