I tried Gutenberg to change H2 headings in one post. Instead, the H2 heading in every post has become completely messed up! And turned into a mess like this:

    <span style=”color: #000000; font-size: 36pt; font-family: ‘Arial Black’, ‘Avant Garde’;”>How to Overcome Fear of Starting a Business</span>

Not just in one post but in every post on my site!

And it’s still like that after i’ve deactivated Gutenberg.

Can you please tell me how to unmess my site?

    Thank you for your time.

  • Hi there.

I don’t know some how your heading style has been converted to entities: <h2 style=&#8221;text-align: center;&#8221;>

    Instead of: <h2 style="text-align: center;">

I see you are using Elementor at the same time with Gutenberg, those may conflict to each other.

I noticed Gutenberg not allow us to change style (color, decoration) of heading block, this will lead to a lot of mess like this in future. Hope they will improve soon.

I also can’t change the font sizes of anything in any posts now. Even with Gutenberg deactivated! What’s going on!?

Please help me resolve these weird issues.

ok I figured out it was a plugin I had called preserve code formatting. Damn was that scary though.

Phew to hear that, bro. What is the name of the damn plugin?
