  • i can’t speak english well. please understand me^^ i used a translator so many times.

its simple design is good. but it is so Uncomfortable to use it. for example, when i upload many photos, i can’t move its arrangement. even i can’t do ‘ctrl x / ctrl c / ctrl v’ to photos. and it is not intuitive. some options are on block and some options are on the right part. so i feel confused little. i thought there is no font size option. and there is no full-text option. i have to set my posts block by block.

i think if there is a customization like tinymce(there are many icons and features but i can use and set it free. i can use only what i want to use.), then it will be good. for example, if it can be set that some options are on block, some options are on the right part, then it will be both simple and professional. and i think it needs a full-text option. when i use gutenberg, i have to set block by block. it is sooooo uncomfortable. and it needs to be more free. i think it is so Rigid plugin. its block system needs to be free.

when i first see it, i feel so excited to it(until i use it in real). i think gutenberg can be future of wordpress. i wrote criticism much, but, frankly speaking, it is already innovative plugin. there are many good and amazing features too. i want to feel excited again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Thank you also for taking time to write in English.

I wanted to ask more about the uncomfortable feeling. What are you used to with WordPress? Do you use for example any plugins or specific setup?

It’s interesting you still seem excited despite the feelings. I wonder as you use more do your feelings change as to how the interface is?

um…. i use wordpress only few weeks. i am just learning about everything in wordpress. i just install many plugins and theme. but i don’t use them enough because it looks that it has sooo many features. because i don’t use wordpress much, i compare gutenberg with other blog problems too. for example, naver, tistory(korean blog sites, naver’s is like medium, tistory’s is like wordpress’.) and google blogger(worst editor), open live writer(it is like wordpress editor). ah, i think present wordpress editor is just normal, not special, not comfortable, just normal.

i said about my uncomfortable / change things already. but i will write again for you. hmm, i really want to write it in korean, then i can explain it better ㅠ.ㅠ please understand me.

    1. i think there is no full-text option. because i could’t ‘whole text Block Settings’. when i drag i could block setting each block only. and i had to use one block option only. i could’t resize my whole text font-size
=> there needs full text options.

    2. some options are on the text and some options are under the block, and some options are on the right on the post. i really thought there is no font size option. i thought i can resize headline only. gutenberg has less intuition.
=> there needs customization like Tinymce(there are many feature icons but i can set and use what i want.) then it will be simple and professional. for example, if i can set some features are on the text and anothers are under the block, and whole options are on the right in setting, then it will be better i think.

    3. when i uploaded many photos, i could’t do anything to them. i couldn’t do even ‘ctrl x, c, v’ and move and resize and change arrangement my pictures.
=> there needs many options about photos.

    4. its block system is really innovative. what i feel excited is this system. but… i feel everything is fixed in block system too. i had to use block option only / pictures are fixed in block…
=> there needs freedom about using gutenberg like writing and uploading photos etc…

i sometimes think i may forget or just don’t find some features. but… what i write about are essential features. if i don’t find it, then it is your fault. because it means it has less intuition. i clicked many spots.

anyway… if gutenberg become perfect, it will be the reason that people have to use wordpress. i used many blog platforms over 5 years. frankly speaking, if someone wants to make blog only, there is no too specific reason to use wordpress. every blog platforms has good theme, and blog company like google have nice program for bloggers. they offer blog free. and these companys are so big that they can defend virus or bad programs well. So wordpress is not popular in korea. i hope gutenberg become advantage for wordpress someday.

my opinion is just pure blogger’s opinion. i think many people use page builder much, so they may feel delightful to present gutenberg. but i don’t use page builder well. for blogger, i think it needs good and Convenient and intuitive editor in wordpress. thank you.
