Support » Fixing WordPress » Gutenberg Alignment “Supports”

  • Hello,

After doing some research I have yet to find an answer to adding a “new” alignment support for Gutenberg blocks.

At the moment the alignment supports available are left, right, center, wide, and full. Is it possible to add a custom support (i.e. narrow)?

Any insight and/or resources would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,

In the beginning, I objected to calling wide and full “alignments” instead of widths. But they went ahead and made it that way, saying that it was exclusive, meaning that you can’t have left and wide at the same time.
But with narrow, you could have left and narrow at the same time, so it doesn’t make sense to put it in with the exclusive alignments.
With that said, there is probably a way to extend any of the controls. You have to read the documentation (and I don’t even know where that is).
