    Hi guys,

I noticed that guest comments are only showing a name as Someone.
That while we have the actual guest name in comment_author.

That is something that should be changed I think.
If there is no user_id as in it is a guest comment should we not just use the value of comment_author? Which should be simply available in; https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_comment_author/

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

    Kind regards,
    Patrick Dankers

    Hi @patrick_d1985

it should show the username, either for a guest or user. ‘Someone’ will show if any of these are miss.

By the way, i will check what’s going there.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Hi Priyo,

Thanks for getting back to me.
Yeah that is what I figured would be normal behavior.
But I can confirm that it did register “Someone” where a Guest commenter actually had a name which is accessibel through comment_author and is shown by default in the core WP backend.

Hope you can get that resolved in the future.
Just thought I should let you know this is happening.

But keep up the great job you guys are doing with NotificationX.

    Best regards,
