    Hi @mrkapable007,

    Sorry for the delay.

Our plugin generates valid but random EANs. This means that it’s not guaranteed that EANs will be unique worldwide (it’s unique in your shop, though) or assigned to the correct brand.

If you are selling some other manufacturer’s products, you will have to manually look up the correct EANs.

If you are selling your own products and need truly unique EANs, you will have to buy them from GS1, and then you can use our “Assign from the list” tool to automatically distribute your purchased EANs to new/existing products in your shop.

If you don’t want to buy EANs and still want to generate EANs automatically with our tool, you can probably try setting the “Country prefix (from)” option to a different value; however, I’m not really sure if this will help.

Hope that clears it up. And please let me know if you’ll have any questions.

I’m going to mark this thread as “resolved” for now, hope that’s ok. Please let me know if there are still any questions/issues.
