GTIN for variable products

    Hi, I can’t anywhere find documentation regarding GTIN support of variable products and its variations. Only Simple product. I presume your Yoast WC plugin supports that?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    We understand you want to add GTIN for your variable products. We’re sorry to say that this feature is still not available in the Yoast WooCommerce SEO plugin but a feature request has been submitted to our developers already and is currently under review by our product team. Currently, the Yoast WooCommerce SEO plugin is only able to add global identifiers for simple products.

    What’s next?
    Our product team assesses feature requests in relation to other open bug reports and new features. Based on their assessment, the feature request will be given a priority level. Our developers work on the highest priority first. Unfortunately, this means we cannot give you an estimate of if or when they’ll start working on your request.

    Thank you very much for your quick reply.

    That’s really a shame and a surprise.
    In your video you mention one should not forget to tag product colors and sizes… which are normally done with variations and not an additional simple product. Most shops have these characteristics so it should really be a top priority for your development.

    Thought I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone but the search continues then for another plugin.
