Support » Plugin: Photo Gallery by GT3 - Video Gallery & Gutenberg Block Gallery » GT3 Gallery Custom Post Type Not Showing Photos

    Hi,

When creating a new GT3 Gallery the page opens with the default GT3 Gallery Custom Post Type Gutenberg block. I can add photos to this which display fine when editing the page, but once published the photos don’t show.

If I use the GT3 Photo & Video Gallery – Masonry or GT3 Photo & Video Gallery – Grid blocks these work fine, it’s just the default Custom Post Type which doesn’t work.

Is there a way to either 1) make the Custom Post Type block display the photos on the front end when published, or 2) make the Photo & Video Gallery block the default block on the New Page?

    Thanks

@troventrip Hello! Thanks for your request. Do you use Lite or Pro version of the plugin?

Hi @gt3themes it’s on the Lite version.

The custom post post type was developed to allow the users using the shortcode system.
In your case we recommend using Gutenberg gallery blocks.

Ok I see, thanks. The custom post block seems to be the default block on the new post template, is there a way to change this to the gallery block through the settings?

I run a multi-author site and so want to make the template ready to use for the authors, rather than having to change the block type manually themselves.

    Thanks for your help

What do you mean “change this to the gallery block”? The CPT uses the default theme layout with the gallery in the content area. You can change the gallery layout (grid or masonry) in CPT settings.

Thanks @gt3themes I think I’ve found a workaround for what I wanted. Thanks for your help.
