GST & PST taxes flipping when different shipping options are selected

Hi there! I’ve been trying to figure this out on both my live site an ddev site (where I can test more), but I’m not sure what is happening.

When you go to ad something to the cart and then choose your shipping option (be sure it is over $150), you can then choose between the Flat rate $9.95 shipping, free shipping or local pickup.

Switch between those and you can see the tax calculations (I just have provinces of Canada right now). However the GST and PST amounts switch between the 2 or 3 options and I’m not sure why? The amount is still correct but the amount switches.

Has anyone else run into this issue before?

I’ve set for products to not have taxes calculated initially and have taxes based on shipping addresses, then have inputted any and all standard tax rates where they belong. I’ve also set up a shipping zone for the whole of “Canada” that allows for the flat rate, local pickup and free shipping over $150.

The other issue I’m finding is that even though I’ve defined a new shipping zone for JUST “British Columbia” for a BC Local pickup option, save and then update the address to a BC address the BC Local pickup option does not apply for some reason.

So it seems I’m a bit confused as to why these shipping/tax options are not working the way they should be.

Is anyone able to help.
