WordPress is a fantastic tool. I’m working on implementing a closed admin portal for a small non-profit. I’ve created a page for each of the committees (there are 10), a directory of contact info for the officers/directors and a polling plugin. I searched but did not find any plugins that would allow me to create a group, assign a person to that group, assign a task to the group and then to the person, have the person status the task completed, etc. Any groupware tools available? I could write detailed specifications for an excellent plugin that would implement basic workflow. It would be a great plugin for non-profits and other small organizations that need a central portal to house documents, exchange ideas, create and assign tasks, etc.
WordPress is very successful but more business oriented programming could transform it into a business solution.
