Grouping posts based on date of publication, after a query.

    My query returns a set of 5 posts from a certain category. However, I would like to group posts that were published on the same day.

    So, for instance, there’s 3 posts published on day X and 2 posts published on day Y.

    The date should be displayed only once for each set, as a header.

    How to go about, conceptually?
