Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » Grouping multiple products with predetermined variation

I am new to WooCommerce and either seeking a way to properly set up my products or the correct WooCommerce extension I should purchase.

    Objective:
I have four products each with a couple of variations (days of the week). I want to bundle all four products and offer the ability to customize the variation for all products together. In other words, if you select this bundle, I want the user to be able to select a variation like “Monday”. As a result, ALL four items will be the “Monday” variation.

Another way to imagine it is as t-shirts. I want the user to select a group of four different t-shirts but they all have to be the same color, of the user’s choice.

I don’t believe I can do this with default functionality of “Grouped Product”. I also am unable to define the discount price using “Grouped Product”.

There’s likely an extension I should buy. Your thoughts?

I’m not completely clear on what you are looking for.

So the product is T-shirts, with an attribute “color”. That color attribute could include green. That’s a straightforward WooCommerce variation. I think you’re asking for another step – can you please explain further?

I want to sell four products bundled/grouped together. I want to allow the user to select a variation that will apply to all four products. In other words the user can not buy a group of four shirts and make one of them red and three of them blue. The user can only select whether they are all blue OR all red.

    Thanks for explaining!

The best way to handle this is to create a product for each t-shirt, and set a variation for each color. Use a plugin like Min/Max Quantities to set the required number of products to be purchased.

Does that clarify things for you?

I suspect I understand you. I do know how to create a product with variations and I can look into that Min/Max Quantities plugin. However how do I sell a group of products at the same time. I want the user to buy FOUR items at once but only allow them to choose the same variation for each. So if they buy a group of four shirts, then can select that ALL four shirts are green or blue. I don’t want to make them buy them separately.

As I mentioned, WooCommerce core doesn’t have a way to do it – you’ll need to use a plugin. The Min/Max plugin can require a minimum purchase of 4 shirts (the parent product), or 4 green shirts.

I feel like I’m missing part of the puzzle here, so please do let me know how it goes.

I’m selling four different products. Not one product with variations. That may be the part that is unclear. I only used shirts as an example but I’m selling courses. Each is unique with variations.

So I’ve assumed the plugin I need is the Product bundle but I just wanted to see if that may be accurate.

    Thaks for clarifying.

When you say there need to be 4, are there any limitations, i.e. specific types of courses?
