Group not working

Hi,
I’m just testing the plugin, in a fresh WordPress install with the default 2017 theme. So far I’ve created two sets of recurring events, and I’m trying to display one instance of each recurring event. I’ve tried using the following shortcode:
[events_list groupby=”recurring_id” groupby_orderby=”event_start_date,event_start_time”]
But this outputs all recurring events, rather than a single instance of each. This is the example provided in the documentation, so what am I doing wrong?

Can I suggest updating the documentation on http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/event-search-attributes/event-location-grouping-ordering/, currently the example is as follows:
[events_list groupby=”recurring_id” groupby_orderby=”event_start_date,event_start_time”]
