[Resolved] Group availability when adding new testimonial

  • Minimum role to be a moderator:
    Moderators can add/edit/delete ALL testimonials and groups.

    When I remove this permission so it’s assigned only to the Administrator, although the groups below can add and edit testimonials they cannot assign to a group. I’m happy that they can’t add/edit/delete groups but would be good if they could USE the existing groups when adding a new testimonial. Is there a way round this?

    Right now, no there isn’t a way around it.

    I will look into adding it in the future though.

    Hey Lindsay,

    I think I found what was happening.

    “2. Minimum role to add/edit testimonials” is to allow your logged in users to submit testimonials. Some people run membership sites on WordPress and this would automatically tie their user account to their testimonial.

    Sometimes you might want to hide your groups from non admin users.

    I have added an option just below that drop down to allow these users the ability to select what groups their testimonial is in. If this is selected, they will see the groups drop down like the admins see.

    I plan on pushing this update within the next two weeks. I hope this works out for you.
