Seeing as I couldn’t get a proper answer on the quirm.net forums, I thought I would try my luck amongst the WordPress folks instead.
Since the last couple of updates (both by the eshop plugin and WordPress core updates) the grid view seems to no longer work for me when viewing category pages. Instead, my products are displayed as excerpts which looks very ugly for an online shop. The weird thing is that if a category has more than one page, it will display the grid view on the second page, just not the first. (See for yourself here: http://www.indiehandmade.co.uk/necklaces. This page displays excerpts instead of grid but scroll down and view the next page and the grid view works fine!).
I remember having the same problem when I first installed eshop and I know it has something to do with category/page/tag names being the same. I’ve gone through and made sure this isn’t the case but it did not help.
My front page works just fine in grid view using the following shortcode:
[eshop_list_new class='ihfrontpageitems' panels='yes' price='yes' show='24' records='24' outofstock='no']
I’m using the following code on each of my pages, which worked fine before, but now it doesn’t display grid view:
[eshop_list_cat_tags find='bracelets,charm-bracelet,handmade-bracelet' class='ihfrontpageitems' panels='yes' price='yes' records='999' outofstock='no']
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you combat it? Is there an easier solutions to displaying products in a grid view? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
