Homepage, Blog, Category… are special pages of each WordPress site. The posts layout in these pages is managed by the active theme.

To show Blog, Category… posts in Grid, you will need to modify files of the active theme. The way to modify theme’s files is very dependent on the source code of each theme, which is complicated and requires coding skills.

If you are not familiar with coding, or simply want an easy way (without coding, without modifying theme’s files) to show Blog, Category… posts in beautiful Grid, Content Views Pro will help.
Content Views Pro provides you the Replace Layout feature, which helps you to show Blog, Category, Search results… posts in Grid layout in minutes, without coding, without modifying theme’s files. It will save you lot of time, effort and headache.

You can find more information about this useful feature here:

To change Category layout to grid with Free version, You will need to add custom code to category.php or archive.php in your theme directory.
If you have 20 categories, you will need to create 20 Views (each view for one category), then:
    – check which category is being used
    – do_shortcode of View for that category
It requires you coding knowledge (PHP, WordPress) to make it works. Also, if you have more categories, you will need to add more Views, then update the code for new Views.

To save your time and effort to change Category layout to grid, we built the Replace Layout feature in Content Views Pro.
It helps you to change Category layout to grid in minutes, quickly and easily, without modifying any theme files.

For Tag page, you need to do as same as the Category page, by putting the code to the tag.php or archive.php file in theme’s folder.
