Support » Plugin: WP Mobile Menu - The Mobile-Friendly Responsive Menu » Greyed Out Scrollbar Right Side Of All Pages

    I am using the Genesis Starter Theme (child theme) and show the problem in a new static page used as the homepage.

    But for some paragraphs of lorum ipsum text nothing is enabled in the page except the child theme’s header, footer and a viewport properties plugin.

    I am the author of the viewport properties plugin and while it is active and can be seen in the image I link to the unwanted scrollbars still remain when my viewport plugin is not actrive.

    The image that is linked to shows the greyed out scrollbar displayed at all times. Some kind of overflow I cannot detect. The scrollbar appears on the right side of the page next to the scrollbars the browser uses to scroll the contents of the viewport.

    This instance uses the free version (thank you).
    Please advise how to get rid of the unwanted scrollbar

    Hi @clintongallagher,

    What is the site URL where I can replicate that situation?
    That scrollbar disappears if you disable the WP Mobile Menu plugin?

    Hellop Rui,

    FYI I did not receive mail notification and saw nothing in junk folder either so good thing I came back today to check response.

    Yes, I disabled the plugin and the scrollbar goes away. Sorry the site is on my local machine so I send link to the current state when the plugin is deactivated.

    All I’ve been able to do is highlight the container for the menu as it appears in the page as a 50px high header. FF Inspector shows me the dashed lines for its container. I’ve tried max-height on the container and other hacking but so far I can’t figure out which is why I’ve reached out for support.

    Hi @clintongallagher,

    Not sure about the forum notifications, it’s out of my control.

    Without seeing the live site it’s difficult.

    Try to add this custom CSS

    html, body {
        overflow-y: auto!important;
    }

    If that doesn’t work will have to wait that place the site online.

    That CSS gets rid of the scrollbar visibility but it causes content in the page to jump so something is still messing up the DOM. I’ll get back to this thread when I deploy so you can take a closer look.

    Sure. Since you aren’t receiving the notifications if you prefer to send me an email send it to [support AT wpmobilemenu DOT com]

    It will be quick to sort, just need to inspect the code of the website.

    Thanks

    Will close the topic for now.

    Was there a solution to this? I am getting the same greyed out scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen, right next to the primary vertical scroll-bar..

    @robey Try the CSS I posted above and let me know.
