Grey Opaque – left sidebar

    I am using the Grey Opaque theme, which is quite elegant, but version 2.01 has the left sidebar that I really hate. How can I get rid of it? I have tried adding code to the style.css as suggested in previous forums, but that does not work. I am not a coder. I don’t think I have a backup of the previous version. I don’t really want to have to create a “child” theme or whatever the term is. Please help.
