I refer to my site blog page http://www.housecleaning-edinburgh.co.uk/testimonials-and-news/.

I have added a youtube video to my latest blog article using the embed code
<iframe width="640" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/G4txZXo14hE?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Clicking through to the individual post the video looks fine. However on the blog page there is just a grey box where I had hoped an image of the video would be.

I have tried both a standard and video post format with no difference.

I would be grateful for any help.

Hi jmkt. Welcome to the Hueman forum. Couple of options:

Do it yourself:
1. Go here: http://boingboing.net/features/getthumbs.html
2. Enter the youtube URL: https://www.youtube.com/embed/G4txZXo14hE?rel=0
3. Select an image and save
4. Upload the image to your Media Library
5. Set the post Featured Image

Use a plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/video-thumbnails/

To hide the Featured Image on the single post page use this css in your child theme:
```
.single .post .image-container {
  display: none;
}
```
