    Hi guys,

I have installed Really Simple SSL to my website and everything is going well except that my home page is not getting the green padlock. The other pages look fine.
Could you please offer me some advice?

I know you have probably seen this kind of post many times but for me it’s a first and the other open topics don’t really apply to my current situation.

    Thanks for your supportQ

Which browsers? Chrome did away with it. Others are as well. FF I think is the only all using it.

You have two mixed content errors on your home page. I haven’t looked further into your site.

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://hippoassist.com/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://hippoassist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Background-Digital.jpg'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.(index):1

I think these are coming from your CSS, so you should check those files and fix any http:// references.

Hey Stef, it’s the same in all browsers: home page is not showing the green padlock and the rest of them are.

I just want you to know though you won’t see a GREEN in Chrome anymore. Latest Safari either. They did away with it.

These images are being served by HTTP. So they’re the main reason for the mixed content.

I have unfortunately no idea what that is. I can assume is a picture that is not showing correctly but I am unable to find it. Do you have an idea of what I could do to spot it?

And just so you know, the green padlock will be a thing of the past and pretty much already is. Article.

Oh man it was in the “why work with us” section, I managed to find it when I started to hide things from the website. Great article, it was about time!

    Nice. Glad you found it.

It sure was. More to come this winter too.
