Great way to repurpose content
-
Let’s admit it. There are few people who will come up to you to say “I read your blog and it’s fantastic!” One person has ever mentioned reading my blog, without prompting, and I was so happy that I don’t remember what she said about it! Stats from MailChimp also seem to indicate few folks click through to read anything, whether a blog post or something else.
So this is great! The utility pretty much works as advertised, and handles single images well. The only tweak I had to make, and it was mentioned in the support area, is to add some custom CSS to hide photos from my carousel plugin when distilling the content using Print My Blog. The photos still show up fine when looking at the individual posts online.
In the future, I might use some type of utility like PicStitch to combine all of the photos into one image, and just use the carousel on Web pages since I have no reason to print those into a book.
I have rarely found a free utility having so many parameters for customization. Kudos to the developer for offering so much without an exorbitant annual fee for a premium version.
